Technology growing, will it change our education?

The technology of today is evolving at such an incredible rate that within two years there will probably be something that'll like read your mind or something to change songs or something intense like that. But what does this mean for the students who are growing up in this day and age of technology? My prediction is that there will be laptops in every class room (Provided budget can supply)and there wont be any need for paper, because as of this year insted of filling out a a sheet on what courses you want to take next year its all done online much like the enlgish program this year, where you have to go on the teachers site just to be able to find out what projects there are and the outlines for it. I think its not right to just assume that ever kid has a computer at there home to access the internet from, but I guesse that's what is expected of students nowadays. With all of this technology coming up kids aren't going to be able to think for themselves without running it through a computer or something that will calculate something for them. So my conclusion for all this is that technology is gonna take over someday.

Is it really worth 3 Mil?

Some people would say that paying 3 million for a 30 second advertisement is straight whack, but you have to look at the stats about the whole thing. The super bowl is one of the highest viewed events on television and would be a perfect time to put your product on the screen. So you can look at it from there point of view it is very valuable time. That's why the companies spend so much time trying to make the super bowl commercials the best ones, because so many people are watching it the companies have a higher chance to get customers. So is it really worth three million, I kind of agree with the high price range but maybe not quite the whole 3 million.

The Media and Reality

People in todays society need to learn that everything you see on t.v isn't always necasseraly "reality". Take the hit tv show CSI for example, the show is supposed to depict how crime scene investagators analyze evidence and solve crimes, obviously for recreation purposes because nothing happens like it does in the show in real life, right? Well there are a lot of people out there that believe that how it happens on the show is how it goes down in real life which is the problem of today because there are kids that will be watching a tv and see their favourite character do something cool so they think that they'll be able to do it. Which can be very dangerous because well spiderman swings from buildings and kids cant but if they see him doing it they might think " hey i wanna try that." Which usually ends very bad. People just have to learn the line of "reality" and "Entertainment" once people figure out how to intrept what is real and what isn't they can live there lives happy with out worry.

How do I feel about photo retouching?

I feel that photo retouching is completley unesseccary because there are plenty of beautiful women out there that could be on a cover of a magazine with out being digitaly made skinnier or "brighter". Like if someone uses make up before a photo shoot its not as bad because like its still you in a way but just under alot of make up, but being digitaly enhanced is completley ridiculous because its not even you who there using to advertise any more. The models are more of a template in which editors can basically make you look how they please, but there more than likely going to continue to use digital re-touching for the time being until something better comes along, so im just saying this if there going to use it they should at least say somewhere I dont care if its in fine print that "this is not a real person and you will never look like this".

Photo retouching at it's worst

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILKJC5cB_ag&feature=related
This video shows that photo retouching has gone way to far, beause the editor has made it look like this girl is a human sized barbie doll or a bratz doll as the new reporter says.

The Mass Media: Has it Got A Hold Of You?

Has the media got ahold of me? I dont really think so, but i do think that it has done a good job on controlling society, I can admit I do use some certain media for everyday use, like my Ipod, I wouldn't even think about going any where without it because music is just a daily routine. Another form of media i can say I use on a more daily basis is facebook. I wouldn't say im dependend on it because it just gets used to see what people are up to or to find cell numbers ect. The media that would get the least amount of attention from me would probably be the celebrity media coverage, i just don't see the point in following peoples live's just because they have money or where in a recent film. Like I care about where Brittney spears ate lunch, But if you look at the generation we grew up in you can see that were surrounded by media/ always evolving technology so it has just always been in our life since we were born. So has the media got ahold of me? No it hasn't got control of me but it is still a big part in my life.
